Tour a research lab!
Attend "Learn About Research: Tour of Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering (BBE) Research Lab" to see several laboratories in Kaufert Lab and meet faculty and students working on a variety of research projects focused on bioproducts and bioenergy.
Register for a 30-minute tour. Choose either a 1 p.m. or 1:30 p.m. time slot, or indicate if you are open to either time.

The tour will begin with a group researching solvent membrane extraction of bio-butanol, a renewable aviation fuel. Subsequently, attendees will visit the setup used to develop a novel process for the decarbonization of paper manufacturing, followed by a visit to a lab group utilizing fungi to remove PFAS (Per- and Polyfluorinated Substances) from the environment. Additionally, there will be a demonstration of bioplastics and biobased plasticizer options, and ample time will be provided for questions.
