Apply for a SWE scholarship!
Applications are now being accepted for 18 Minnesota Section of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE-MN) fall scholarships for engineering and computer science students at schools in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
Applicants are judged on the basis of their potential to succeed in an engineering career, communication skills, involvement in extracurricular or community activities and leadership skills shown in those activities, demonstrated work experience and success, and academic success. All applications are judged by a committee of Minnesota SWE professionals who represent different fields of engineering.

Eligibility:
- Scholarships will be awarded to engineering and computer science students who identify as women and attend an ABET-accredited institution in Minnesota, North Dakota, or South Dakota. You do not need to be a SWE member to be eligible.
- U.S. citizenship may be required for some corporate partner scholarships.
- Past recipients may submit a new application for the current scholarship year. Any given student may only receive a given corporate partner’s scholarship once, so repeat applicants may be eligible for a smaller number of the currently offered scholarships.
- Students must be enrolled full-time and attend classes in person.
Students who complete the application are considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible. Recipients will be notified by the end of May, with the scholarship monies issued for fall semester 2024. A list of recipients will be available on the SWE-MN website shortly after recipients are notified.
The application deadline is Saturday, March 30, 2024.
