Register for a site visit to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) in St. Paul on Wednesday, March 20, 12:30-4 p.m. The site visit is open to all interested CSE students and includes a tour, conversations with investigators and other personnel about investigations, information management, cybersecurity, and more. Space is limited and registration is required. The registration deadline is Sunday, March 10.

MN BCA

The MN BCA comprises three distinct divisions: the Forensic Science Laboratory, Investigations, and Minnesota Justice Information Services (MNJIS). Following an introductory overview of the MN BCA, students will be divided according to their interests in the different divisions. Some will embark on a walking tour of the laboratory, engage in discussions with sworn investigators, interact with civilian personnel in the Investigations division, or participate in conversations about MNJIS with representatives responsible for information management, databases, cybersecurity, network management, and other aspects facilitating access to and exchange of information among sources of criminal justice data.

The registration deadline is Sunday, March 10

Buses will depart from Northrop at 12:30 p.m. and will return by 4 p.m.

The MN BCA is unable to sponsor international students.
